STARTING FROM A PHOTO
fundraising campaign

LAB \ for an Irregular Laboratory supported the Pianoterra Onlus Association in dealing with the consequences of the Covid-19 emergency with the fundraising campaign "Starting from a Photo" in collaboration with the Madre - Donnaregina contemporary art museum in Naples, in scope of the Madre per il Sociale 2020 project.

Pianoterra, which has always been involved in the prevention of health and development problems linked to poverty and marginalization, is intervening with a series of initiatives aimed at offering material support to families in difficulty.
These are already fragile families, today even more exposed to the risk of poverty and social exclusion due to the Covid-19 epidemic and the consequences of the necessary measures to contain it.

Il Laboratorio Irregolare, curated by Antonio Biasiucci, has chosen to contribute to the cause by making available 90 photographs of 30 authors, for a fundraiser that went directly to support the interventions of Pianoterra between summer and autumn 2020.

The campaign ended on 30 June 2020

90 photographs by 30 authors were made available for fundraising. Each artist donated 3 photographs in a special edition of five, which were printed by Luigi Fedullo's Fineart Lab in different formats and signed by the authors.

The 30 photographers, who over the years have participated in one of the editions of the Irregular Laboratory, are: Ilaria Abbiento, Fulvio Ambrosio, Chiara Arturo, Ciro Battiloro, Giuliana Calomino, Vincenzo Capaldo, Anna Castellone, Paolo Covino, Cristina Cusani, Valentina De Rosa, Francesco Nicolis Di Robilant / Dystonia, Assunta D'Urzo, Maurizio Esposito, Francesca Esse, Ivana Fabbricino, Alessandro Gattuso, Gaetano Ippolito, Valeria Laureano, Claudia Mozzillo, Laura Nemes-Jeles, Vincenzo Pagliuca, Claire Power, Valentino Petrosino, Chiara Pirollo, Valerio Polici, Ilaria Sagaria, Serena Schettino, Mattia Tarantino, Giuseppe Vitale, Tommaso Vitiello.

With the donation of almost 𝟭𝟲𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝘁𝗼, more than € 𝟭𝟵.𝟬𝟬𝟬 were raised, contributing to the material support actions implemented by Pianoterra: purchase and distribution of basic necessities, with particular attention to the needs of younger children; support in the payment of rent and utilities; supply of electronic devices to allow school-age children to follow distance learning.

The initiative also avails itself of the support of Photolux Festival, Stock Photography, Fineart lab.
